Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t I register an unaccompanied child or teen?
All children and teens must have at least one adult on site during the retreat weekend. The material the children are learning is complex and may require additional support and reinforcement at home through meaningful dialog and conversation. The best way to facilitate this is to ensure that at least one parent or guardian is familiar with the material. If you are a graduate of Holy Spirit 101 and would like to register an unaccompanied minor, please contact the Arise Office at Mary Immaculate to register your child.
How do I register my youngest children from complimentary childcare?
After you have registered for the retreat, you will be sent a link with more retreat information and a link to sign up all children under 5 for childcare.
WHAT IF I OR MY CHILD HAS FOOD ALLERGIES OR SENSITIVITIES?
Meals and snacks will be served on site for all participants; however, we can not guarantee that our meals will fit you and your child’s individual food requirements. As such, a microwave, freezer and fridge will be made available to any student who wishes to bring his/her own lunch and snacks.
WHAT ABOUT SAFE ENVIRONMENT?
All adult volunteers working during the teen and children’s track have been through the safe environment training and have received a background check.
