WHAT IS A TYPICAL 3-day retreat LIKE? 

There are typically 50 students attending each retreat. Volunteer staff assist during every practicum. Sessions are 2 hours long and divided between lecture and practicum time.

HOW MUCH DOes the retreat and class COST? 

Please note: As of July 4, 2017, our rates have changed. If you registered prior to July 4, your retreat and course fee will reflect the older rate. 

Weekend Retreat

A weekend retreat costs between $100-$150 and covers meals, materials, and facilities costs. Scholarships are available by request. The fees are broken down in the following manner:

  • Individual Rate: ($150) any persons who is attending the weekend retreat alone, or with a group smaller than 5 persons. 
    • Additional Companion ($50) Any person who is attending the weekend retreat may also bring an additional companion (spouse, child or friend). Only 1 companion is permitted per individual. The companion must register at the same time as the individual. 
  • Group Rate: ($100) Group of 5+ qualify for the discounted group rate. To establish your group, please contact the Arise Worship Ministry Office [here] with the name of your group, and a list of each person participating. 

6 Week CLass

Our 6-week course and covers materials and facilities costs. Scholarships are available by request. The fees are broken down in the following manner:

  • Individual Rate: ($50) any persons who is attending the weekend retreat alone, or with a group smaller than 5 persons. 
  • Group Rate: ($40) Group of 5+ qualify for the discounted group rate. To establish your group, please contact the Arise Worship Ministry Office [here] with the name of your group, and a list of each person participating. 

Payment is non-refundable. However, your registration can be transferred to another individual; however, this must be done no more than 48 hours prior to your retreat date.

What is included in my retreat and/or class registration?

All registrants receive:

  • A spot in the program
  • A complimentary copy of Holy Spirit 101
  • Access to prayer ministers to assist during each practicum 
  • Journal, pen and highlighter*
  • Meals throughout the program* 

*available only for weekend retreats

Is there an age requirement? 

Yes. We require all students be 18 years of age by the start of the retreat. Minors between 15 - 17 years of age may attend with a parent or guardian in attendance. There must be 1 adult per minor in attendance. 

WHAT WILL I LEARN during the program? 

At the end of the retreat, each students will understand the history and how to pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit; the rules and standards of intercessory prayer as a Church ministry; how to pray deliverance prayer for self and others; discern test and share prophetic words, words of knowledge and words of wisdom; pray healing prayer; yield to the gift of tongues; and how to incorporate the gifts of the Holy Spirit in Parish life.

WHERE ARE THE RETREATS LOCATED? 

All retreats are currently located on the Mary Immaculate Campus. 2800 Valwood Pkwy, Farmers Branch, TX 75006. Most often, retreats are held in the Church's Parish Hall. 

ARE MEALS & HOUSING INCLUDED on retreats? 

For retreats, catered meals and snacks are included with your registration fee, but not housing. Meals covered include dinner on Friday night and breakfast & lunch on Saturday and Sunday. 

For the 6-week course, drinks and light snacks are available each evening. Housing is not included. 

Is childcare INCLUDED? 

No. There is no childcare currently available at the Mary Immaculate Campus. 

DOES THIS PROGRAM HAVE THE APPROVAL OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH? 

Yes. On February 17, 2016, Holy Spirit 101 was granted the nihil obstat and imprimatur, an official declaration approving the teaching material as beneficial for Roman Catholics.
